ADHD, EMDR, TRAUMA, ANXIETY, & DEPRESSION | THERAPIST IN ROSEVILLE, CALIFORNIA

Here, you have permission to be authentically you.

Meet Ally Ransdell, LCSW

Maybe your thoughts sound like…

  • “If people knew the real me, they’d never like me.”

  • "People say, ‘Just make a list,’ like I didn’t already try that."

  • "I’m either frantically doing everything at the last minute or paralyzed with overwhelm with no in-between."

  • "My anxiety feels like a full-time job, and I’m exhausted from overthinking everything”

  • “It seems like everyone else has it all figured out. Why does it feel so hard for me?”

You wish you didn’t get so jealous when other people seem to have everything in their life figured out. You want to be happy for them, but their success just feels like another reminder of what you’re missing. Sometimes, it’s hard to even put into words what’s wrong. All you know is that something has to change—because you don’t want to feel this way forever.

Feeling seen and understood is the foundation of healing.

My approach

You don’t have to have it all figured out before we talk—that’s what I’m here for.

The most important part of therapy is the relationship you have with your therapist. Research shows it’s the number one predictor of success, and that’s why creating a space where you feel comfortable, safe, and understood is my top priority.

If you're not sure what to talk about, don’t worry—we’ll always find something. We’re in this together, and it’s just as much about me being present and engaged as it is about you doing the same. What’s important to you? How can we make sure we’re working toward your goals? I care about your growth and will always be here to support you as we figure things out together.

Sometimes, saying things out loud is the first step in understanding how we feel, but opening up about your story—especially the parts you’ve pushed down or avoided—takes time.

It’s not easy to revisit those experiences or bring awareness to feelings you’ve worked hard to ignore. I get that. Together, we’ll work toward building the trust and understanding that makes sharing feel not only possible but freeing. I want this to be the therapy that finally feels like it fits—the one that helps you feel seen and supported in ways you haven’t before. That’s what I’m here to give you: a place where you can show up imperfectly, knowing you’ll be met with kindness, honesty, and understanding.

I don’t believe in throwing generic advice at you or trying to force a one-size-fits-all approach. We’ll figure out what works for you and create a therapy experience that actually makes a difference in your life. I can help you connect the dots, sort through the noise, and make space for the things that really matter (and get rid of the stuff that doesn’t). We’ll take it one conversation, one insight, one breakthrough at a time.

When you come to therapy with me…

You won’t get

  • A stuffy, stiff personality sitting across from you

  • Someone who tells you exactly what to do with your life

  • A passive listener who only nods and never challenges you

  • A distant professional who doesn’t treat you like a unique individual

  • A rigid expert who expects you to fit into their framework

  • One-size-fits-all coping mechanisms or worksheets

You will get

  • A down-to-earth, conversational approach

  • A fierce supporter of your personal decision-making

  • A sounding board, someone who actively engages and offers fresh perspectives

  • Someone who remembers the little details about your life, like your dog’s name or that meeting you were nervous about

  • Permission to embrace who you are—quirks, imperfections, ADHD, and all

  • A personalized mix of practical tools and deeper exploration to address both symptoms and root causes

Let this be the moment you finally feel empowered and whole again.
